"a caterpillar doesn't just grow into a butterfly. a caterpillar must undergo metamorphosis, and a cocoon is where a caterpillar risks it all: enters total chaos, undergoes total rebuilding, and is born to a new way of living. only in taking the risk of entering that inert cocoon can the caterpillar go from dormancy to potency, from ugliness to beauty."

first love

" When my daughter was about seven years old, she asked me one day what I did at work. I told her I worked at the college - that my job was to teach people how to draw. She stared at me, incredulous, and said, 'You mean they forget?' "

about the images: each of the ten pieces was done on 9” x 12” paper. half of them were my output while i was still staying away from home, the other half were done after i got back.

  1. hi caterpillar!:)

you're really talented! hmm, i can't even draw if my life depended on it! hehehe:)

i love the 365 project idea. i think i'm going to try it. i just hope i don't end up having "think of a project" going on for 365 days! hehehe:)

  2. I love the first one. Simple, yet has a classic touch to it. Impressive.
